Muscle Activation Technique
The most experienced, educated and dedicated group of therapists in Texas.
Greg Roskopf’s Muscle Activation Techniques is a systematic approach for identifying and correcting muscular imbalances that lead to injury, compromised performance and impede recovery.
M.A.T. is not intended to “treat” pain, but it indirectly aids in the relief of pain. The focus is to stimulate the muscle tendon attachments, thereby shortening the muscles fibers to improve contractile efficiency and re-educate the nervous system to handle everyday stresses.
Muscular Activation Technique is unique in that it consists of very precise, targeted movements. M.A.T. sessions are custom tailored to treat the client's problem based on the location and severity of symptoms. There are over 500 different motions that can be used to evaluate a client's condition, thus isolating the affected areas that lack range and/or motion.
M.A.T. is considered an exercise, as opposed to a therapy. The conditions that MAT is used to help treat naturally are frozen shoulder, growing pains, hip alignment, muscle fatigue, lack of range of motion and migraines. ALL can benefit from M.A.T. work (not just athletes) as an injury prevention, recovery and increased stability/mobility.
A typical M.A.T. session the client will remain fully clothed, though you are recommended to wear loss/athleisure wear during your treatment.

LET'S FORCE THE ISSUE...OF RELAXATION
How often and how long are you actually able to disconnect from life? Massage has been shown to help the body enter a relaxing rest-and-recovery mode - an effect that lingers long after the massage is over.
SIT UP AND TAKE NOTICE...OF YOUR POSTURE
Unlike other bad habits, poor posture can help be corrected by relaxation. Massage helps reinforce healthy and natural movements, which can get your posture back on track.
BREATHE IN. BREATHE DEEPLY.
One of the telltale signs of anxiety and stress is constricted breathing. Massage can play an important role in relieving respiratory issues and training the body how to relax.
